The secret to high completion rates is momentum. Psychologically, humans have an innate desire to finish what they have started—this is known as the Zeigarnik Effect. By showing a user exactly how far they have come, you transform the quiz from a task into a journey.

How to Enable the Step Counter

  • Open your quiz in the builder and click the Configuration tab.

  • Ensure you are in the General sub-menu.

  • Scroll down to the Step Counter section and toggle the switch to "On."

  • Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

  • Head over to the Preview tab to preview how the bar looks.

A progress bar makes every question feel like progress. We recommend A/B testing your quiz with and without the progress bar. Most LeadQuizzes users see a significant lift in completion data immediately after activation.
