Choosing between a Single Choice and a Multiple Choice question is one of the most important decisions you'll make in the builder. The right choice depends on whether you value speed and conversion or detail and research. One helps you segment your audience into "buckets" quickly, while the other gives you a deep dive into their varied preferences.
Single Choice (Best for Conversion)
In a Single Choice setup, the respondent can pick only one answer.
For definitive data, personality scoring, or "Yes/No" scenarios.
Example: "Are you interested in joining our next event?"
It makes your segmentation much cleaner and is faster for the user to complete. Because there is less "thinking time" required, Single Choice typically converts better for lead generation.
Multiple Choice (Best for Rich Data)
Multiple Choice allows users to select as many answers as apply to them.
For preference surveys, feedback, or "Select all that apply" scenarios.
Example: "Which of these topics are you most interested in learning about?"
This gives you a much richer profile of your lead. While it takes the user longer to finish, the data you collect is far more detailed.
How to Enable Multiple Choice
Inside your quiz project, drag a Multiple Choice question into your builder.
In the question settings on the right, locate the toggle labeled "Multiple Choices Selection."
Switch this feature ON.
Your users will now be able to select multiple checkboxes rather than just one radio button.
Note:
If your primary goal is to get as many people to the "Thank You" page as possible, stick to Single Choice.
If you need to know exactly what a customer wants so you can send them a highly personalized follow-up email, use Multiple Choice.
Logic Mapping Warning: Remember that Multiple Choice questions are more complex to map to results. Ensure you test your logic in "Preview" mode to make sure the right outcomes are appearing!
If you use Multiple Choice, always start the question with the phrase "Select all that apply" so the user knows they aren't limited to just one pick.
